Hello Sweet Baby

This little guy is one of the reasons I haven't been posting lately.  He is my first grandchild; the son of my son.  I call him Sweet William.
I made this little welcome card using Ali Edwards' Baby Word Art 01 from Designer Digitals

This is the amazing Venetian glass heart that my darling friend, Mary Ann, brought me from Italy.  The ribbon is silk dupioni that I got at Ornamentea in Raleigh.  Love it, love it, love it!

Ribbon Necklace

I wanted to use ribbon for a necklace and found this gorgeous brown silk at Sam Flax recently.  Soon after, I saw this necklace on Cynthia Deis' blog.  I knew I would soon be visiting her shop in Raleigh, so I collected bits and baubles and took off for North Carolina.  I love wearing this one; it makes me feel very bohemian.  If anyone has tips on taking good photos of jewelry, please let me know.  My pics are not the best.  Thanks for looking.

This was my first attempt at making a collaged pendant; a gift for my sister-in-law. The actual pendant looked pretty, with light aqua-blue seed beads, but the photo makes the beads look green!  I used a raw brass pendant from Ornamentea, an eiffel tower charm and text from an old french novel.  Then I sealed it with glossy Collage Pauge and hung it on some black cord.

I made these earrings with sterling silver wire and gorgeous lampwork beads from April at Sharpline Designs.  Her beads are little works of art and she is a pleasure to do business with.  Tomorrow I'll show you this great design I made for hanging all my earrings.

Mail Art

This is a postcard I made using Roben Marie's Garden Shapes.  All her art work is gorgeous and she has some very inspiring postcards for sale in her Art Goods Shop.  Wouldn't anyone want to receive a bit of beautiful mail from a friend?  Be sure you go to her blog and read about mail art.  It's very cool--fun to send and receive!

Dream...

This is the picture that Lisa commented on in the previous post.  Because I'm just learning this blogging skill, I will often post and then decide it doesn't quite suit me.  So I changed the photo in the previous post before I saw her comment.   This is a photo of the most beautiful bed; one I would love to do some dreaming in.  I used photoshop filters to make it a little more dreamy and added some--what else?--Rhonna Farrer brushes from twopeasinabucket.  Thanks for looking, Lisa.
